In honour of World Oceans Day, we look back at Prince Hussain Aga Khan's "Fragile Beauty" exhibition featuring his marine photography of oceanic ecosystems. The stunning collection of some 100 photographs highlights the beauty, fragility and diversity of marine life, drawing attention to the urgent need to conserve and protect global oceanic heritage.

Prince Hussain Aga Khan is pictured above with Princess Fareen and special guests at the official inauguration of the exhibition on 19 February 2019 at the historic Khoja Mosque in Nairobi, Kenya. Special guests of the private viewing and inauguration included Dr. Alex Awiti, Vice-Provost, Aga Khan University and Mr. Keriako Tobiko, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forestry.

Prince Hussain also recently produced two short films, Beacons of Hope and 7 Seas, to demonstrate the natural beauty of the oceans and their role in supporting fragile ecosystems. These were premiered on Friday, 5 June 2021 for World Environment Day on the Ismaili TV.
