World Youth Day 2023 will take place from 1 to 6 August in the city of Lisbon. This is a great gathering of young people from all over the world with Pope Francis, and for this reason thousands of people are arriving in Portugal every day, coming from the most diverse countries and places.
The Ismaili community collaborated in this important event for the Portuguese society, under the scope of Ismaili CIVIC, continuing our centuries-old tradition of providing voluntary service to improve the quality of life of the communities in which we live.
In this great event of WYD 2023, it has been possible to count on a huge diversity of volunteers who integrate the most diverse areas, such as:
- Central and Parochial Volunteers
- Preparation and Distribution of Welcome Kits
- Hosting volunteers at the Ismaili Centre, Lisbon
- Initiatives for the WYD Youth Festival
